Dosha “D Girl” Harris was born in Aurora, CO on June 14, 1990. At the early age of 13, D. Girl began composing music. By the age of 14, she began recording her music. It was around this time that D. Girl moved to Nebraska, linked up with a music group and soon became the first lady of the local music movement at the ripe age of 15. Since then, she has worked gradually towards stardom. After relocating back to Colorado from Nebraska, D. Girl lost the music connections she used to distribute her music but she never lost connection with the love and passion she has for music. At the age of 18, D. Girl put her foot back in the door. Moving between Colorado to Nebraska, D. Girl has gained attention and respect from the rap community in both states. By the age of 20 years, D. Girl’s talents have become recognized on a larger scale as she was nominated for Best Female Artist in 2010 at the 2nd Annual 5280 Awards. After a recently publication in Westword Magazine, she was recognized for her dynamic performances all over Colorado. Soon after, D. Girl was nominated for Best Female Hip Hop Artist of 2011. In September, D. Girl dropped her freshman mixtape titled ‘Mascara Music’ and is currently working on the sequel “Mascara Music 2”. At the 3rd Annual 5280 Music Awards in December of 2011, she won the award for Female artist of the year. Throughout her experiences, D. Girl learned that perfection is not a goal accomplished overnight and with the right motivation, she will be one of the biggest names in the music and entertainment industry.
